Thank you, Mr. Carter
I'd have to say that, by far, I've received the most support and encouragement from this gentleman. While we are both colleagues in the CUNY system, we are by no means peers in the world of bassists. Mr. Carter is an absolute musical standout and in my opinion, beyond category. Yet, he has always been there to assist me with my endless questions regarding playing technique, band organization, performance suggestions and practicing. We've discussed (and argued, at times) the approach in bass bag design and amplifier height. I've attended about a dozen master classes with Mr. Carter and attended his 70th birthday celebration in NYC. Click his name, above, to see his website, which is quite comprehensive and hear for yourself.
